Teens & parents
Two people need to be heard here. We speak to both.
If you're the teenager
Your therapist tells your parents how therapy is going in general terms — never what you said. The only exception is if your life is in danger, and we’d tell you first.
- Exam, board and university pressure
- Bullying, online and in person
- Self-harm, hopelessness, panic
- Fights at home, feeling controlled
- Identity, faith, body image, friendships
If you're the parent
You’ll get a monthly guidance call: what your child is working on at a high level, what helps at home, and what to stop doing.
- Signs worth a call: sleep collapse, withdrawal, grades falling sharply, marks on the arms, talk of not wanting to be here
- Consent: parental consent plus the teenager's own agreement
- If they refuse: book a parent-only consultation
